Scope:

This specification covers an aircraft-quality, low-alloy steel in the form of seamless tubing.

This tubing has been typically used in thin wall-thickness sections where minimum tensile strength up to 160,000 psi (1103 MPa) is required and where parts may be welded during fabrication, but usage is not limited to such applications.
