Abstract

Defined to help electrical utility companies, laboratories, agencies, and manufacturers in performing standardized tests to evaluate energy efficiency of high-intensity discharge industrial luminaires. Provides a procedure for determining the luminaire efficacy ratings under laboratory test conditions, including visual tasks involved, performance characteristics such as color, glare etc., luminaire placement, lighting maintenance, on/off level control, and a ballasts ability to regulate lamp wattage.
