Gives transmission performance planning guidelines to network and service planners responsible for integrating ATM technology, such as digital processing equipment, multiplexers and switches into the PSTN. Deals with the interconnection of other networks, eg Private Networks and Digital Cellular Networks with the PSTN, together with the continued need to support existing voiceband services.
