Describes Physical Layer characteristics for transporting of Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) cells at a nominal bit rate of 51,840 kbit/s over category Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cabling at the S[B] reference point of the B-ISDN User Network Interface (UNI), where the maximum distance is around 100 m. Can be used with existing building wiring.
