Abstract

Covers non-interactive subjective assessment procedures for evaluation of the one-way overall audiovisual quality for multimedia applications, eg. video-conferencing, storage and retrieval applications, telemedical applications and so on. May be used for several different purposes, which can include selecting algorithms, ranking of audiovisual system performance and evaluation of the quality level during an audiovisual connection. Outlines the characteristics of the source sequences, eg duration, kind of content, number of sequences. Also provides indications about relation between audio, video and audiovisual quality, as derived from tests performed independently in different laboratories.
