Abstract

Defines optional extensions to the Broadband ISDN User Part for supporting call priority handling. Allows for preferential treatment for high priority calls during network congestion according the call's priority level. Specifies new message and parameter coding required, additional primitives and primitive parameters for modelling the new capabilities in accordance with the specification model for the B-ISDN User Part specified in Rec. Q.2764, together with enhancements to the Application process methods and enhancements to the description of the Application Service Element. Applies to simultaneous establishments of a single call/connection in a point-to-point configuration.
