Abstract

This document belongs to the DSS2 family of ITU-T Recommendations and defines extensions to Recommendation Q.2931 to specify the additional DSS2 protocol elements (messages, procedures, information elements, and functions) of bearers associated to a call controlled independently by means of a separated call control protocol. The separated call control protocol may be either a functional protocol-based separated call control protocol specified in Recommendation Q.2981 or the Q.2931-base separated call control protocol defined in recommendation Q.2982.
