Abstract

Provides a basis for a common understanding of the underlying issues in order to facilitate implementation of Universal Personal Telecommunications (UPT) within a common numbering framework. UPT introduces the concept of personal mobility across many networks. Includes ISDN, PSTN, PLMN and PSPDN. Provides a framework of numbering for calls inbound to a UPT user (incalls), transactions between the UPT user and their UPT service profile (e.g. incall registration), calls made by the UPT user (outcalls) and identification of the UPT service profile and service provider.
