Abstract

Specifies a multipoint data delivery service to be used in the audiographics and audiovisual conferencing service. Gives the mechanism for multipoint aware applications for sending data to all or a subset of the group with a simple send primitive and to force, if wished, a uniformly sequenced reception of data at all users. In addition it gives a token mechanism to permit applications to control scarce resources or do multi-application signalling and synchronization. These services are made available in a manner independent of the underlying network connections.
